Dear Sir or Madam,

Hello, my name is Christina Kline and I am coming to you in hopes of
resolution to my problem. I am a mother of 4 and we have a beloved pet
chinchilla named Bungee. I bought a new 3 level cage for her and she
was
only in it for less that 24 hours when it happened. I came in to say
goodnight to her and found her completely motionless, hanging upside
down by
her back foot in the wires of her new home. I cant explain the horror
to
see her like that... my 5 year old daughter ran up when she heard me
calling
my husband and she had bad dreams all night long. My husband finally
managed to free Bungee but her foot was completely broken off in the
skin.
I didn't know what to do, there is only one animal emergency vet and
thats
not too close to my house ( this was at 9 pm). When I called them, they
gave me all these outrageous figures and finally said they weren't sure
if
she would even survive. Thank God I got a hold of a man I know who
owns a
pet store. He told me to bring Bungee in and he would try to save her.
We
put her in the car and took her on the 20 minute ride. He said he will
have
to cut her foot off and stop the bleeding. Then he will wrap it and
give her
antibiotics for a week. He said she will be ok. But why...why- just
because
I wanted a nicer cage for our pet- why should she endure so much pain?
How
can this company justify selling this cage, clearly stated as a
chinchilla
cage, and something so horrifying happens? This is not just a pet, she
is
part of my family. She relys on me to take care of her and this is what
happens? Could they ever begin to realize how my kids are having
nightmares
and I am sick over this.... the image of her hanging upside down,
stuck, by
a severed foot? No, they couldn't. Chinchillas are very, very bouncy,
hyper animals... when she got stuck, she must have struggled so much to
actually break her foot right off....I cant believe how scared she must
have
been. Anyways,
this is something that will haunt me forever and my children are
confused
and devastated. Not to mention my chinchilla who will have to figure
out
how to live with only 3 feet... I will not let this go and I would
greatly
appreciate it if someone could help me sue these people and take some
action
so this wont happen to anyone elses pet... my lawyer laughed at me so
please, please help me.

Sincerely,
Christina Kline
