D3 QuickTest 1.3 Released
Nirvana posts on the D3Edit forums that QuickTest 1.3 has been released
with the following new features:
*now remembers up to 10 previous unique d3l files for easy access
*"QuickTest!" button now checks to see if d3 is running first. If it is, it
only creates the mn3 and does not run the game.
QuickTest is a great tool for level builders.

2. Feature Story
Great news... Resounding, Inc. has just released their new Roger Wilco
program, which is the Mark 1a upgrade. It has a few new enhancements and
will run even better then before.
It's still free, so don't forget to download your new copy. Also, it's a
good idea to uninstall your previous copy and then do a fresh install.
For those of you that do not know what Roger Wilco is:
Roger Wilco is a virtual walkie-talkie application that runs alongside
Falcon 4.0 and other games for multiplayer online gaming. You can talk
cockpit to cockpit with other Falcon Pilots, works with your modem and
doesn't require a server. Best of all, it's FREE.
System Requirements:
Windows 95/98 with DirectX 3 or later, or NT4.0 SP3 (Mac version under
development)
2 MB disk space
Pentium 166 MHz or faster (200 MHz recommended)
Internet connection or TCP/IP LAN
28.8K network connection (or better)
a compatible full-duplex soundcard (see our list)
Microphone (headset model recommended)

Roger Wilco is free, but you must register for a "license key" to unlock its
full functionality. Prior to registration, Roger Wilco operates in a "demo
mode" which restricts you to 15 minutes spent on a single tuning.
Registration is free.
You can register Roger Wilco either by clicking on the "Get License Key"
button on Roger Wilco's License Tab, or by visiting the Roger Wilco
Registration Page.
I use Roger Wilco for several games. They continue to have top-notch support

Kevin Bentley welcomed his new son Christopher Andrew Bentley to the world!
He was born Tuesday August 3rd at 10:43pm weighing 9 pounds 2 ounces and 20"
long. Congratulations to both Kevin and his wife Dianna!

Tip - "Hoard" in Descent 3
Players gather Hoard Orbs by killing their opponents, gathering the Orbs and
scoring in specified scoring zones. The Scoring Zones are usually "Striped
areas" in the level you are playing in. "The more Orbs you have the higher
your score will be. For example, 1 Orb = 1 point, 2 Orbs = 3 points etc.

It features some incredible architecture and layout. It can by played

"Why did you create DescentWorld" - Jas via the Internet
Hello Jas!
Good question! It is a question that I get asked at least a dozen times a
week by both veterans and beginners alike.
The Descent and FreeSpace Community is like no other gaming community in the
world. Every single web site tries to bring you the best in what they can.
With that in mind, all the web sites on the Internet try to be unique in one
way or another at the same time. To see what I mean just take a look at all
the sites that I have listed in our links section. Each and every one of
those sites has something to offer every person that stops there to visit
them.
The problem that I ran into was that my bookmarks list was HUGE! I had over
200 websites on my Descent Favorites at one time. It would take me a week to
go to all of those sites and find the levels, screen shots, cheat codes and
everything else that I was looking for. I wanted something easier, and there
HAD to be a way to make things easier.
Then the idea of DescentWorld came to mind.
DescentWorld; the name says it all.
I created the website to take all the information that I use to gather just
for myself and set it up for everyone else to use as they see fit. I soon
found out that it was a monumental task that I could not handle alone. With
the help of Parasite, Raven, CyberCop and many others, we have built the
site into what it is today!
We are one of the "Official" file mirror sites for Interplay, Outrage ,
Parallax, Tantrum and Volition-Inc. We help get their files (demos,
trailers) out to all the people all over the world (like you) every day.
We think that it makes perfect sense to have everything on ONE website
instead of 50. This way you will always know that you can come to
DescentWorld and find what you need! Thanks for the question and catch you
