Belgian Rail Strike

Because of a strike on Belgian National Railways (SNCB) from 22.00 (local
time) Thursday 22 March until 22.00 (local time) Friday 23 March, there will
be no Eurostar services between London, Ashford and Brussels during these
times. Passengers are therefore advised to cancel or postpone their journeys
if possible. Alternatively, they should be prepared to make other
arrangements for travel between Lille and Brussels during the period of
disruption.

SERVICES WILL OPERATE NORMALLY BETWEEN LONDON/ASHFORD AND PARIS, DISNEYLAND
PARIS® AND BOURG ST MAURICE.

THURSDAY 22 MARCH
London/Ashford to Lille/Brussels
Services will operate normally until:-

18.27 Waterloo International
19.27 Ashford International
will terminate at Lille Europe at 21.29 with Coach transfers to Brussels*

9160
19.27 Waterloo International
will terminate at Lille Europe at 22.29 with Coach transfers to Brussels*

* Passengers are advised that there will be no domestic train services
operating from Brussels.

Brussels/Lille to Ashford/London ,services will operate normally.

FRIDAY 23 MARCH
London/Ashford to Lille/Brussels
All services operating between London/Ashford and Brussels up to and
including the 16.27 departure (9148) will run only to Lille.

9152 the 17.19 Waterloo to Lille/Brussels is cancelled.

The following trains will run to Brussels:-

18.27 Waterloo International
19.27 Ashford International
21.29 Lille Europe (will remain for 20 minutes)
arriving Brussels Midi 22.30 (revised arrival time)

19.27 Waterloo International
22.29 Lille Europe
23.10 Brussels Midi (as normal)

Brussels/Lille to Ashford/London
All services operating between Brussels/Lille and Ashford/London will run
only from Lille except for 9109 the 07.01 from Brussels (07.43 Lille) which
is cancelled.

Eurostar regrets it is unable to provide coach connections during the period
of the strike, on Friday, because of the expected severe road congestion in
Belgium. Tickets for travel on that day can be exchanged at all points of
sale and refunds will be allowed through the original point of sale,
irrespective of ticket type. This applies to all passengers with tickets for
Brussels or beyond.

Other Services
No domestic or international services are planned to operate with, from & to
Belgium between 22.00 (local time) Thursday 22 March until 22.00 (local
time) Friday 23 March. This includes Thalys services operating between Paris
and Amsterdam/Köln & v.v. as well as overnight trains between Paris and
Hamburg/Berlin.
