[rsync] einstieg klappt nicht

Ich hab cygwin wegen rsync unter Win32 installiert.

Allerdings nutze ich nicht die cygwin-shell, sondern die rsync.exe
direkt auf der windows-shell (eingabeaufforderung).

Ein simples

rsync D:\MUSIC M:\MUSIC_rsync

moniert er mit

The source and destination cannot both be remote.
rsync error: syntax or usage error (code 1) at
/home/lapo/package/rsync-3.0.9-1/
src/rsync-3.0.9/main.c(1148) [Receiver=3.0.9]


D: ist eine lokale Festplatte.
M: ist eine Netzwerkfreigabe auf einem NAS.

Hab auch versucht ein "localhost:" davor zu stellen.

Scheinbar liegt es doch am Windows.

In der cygwin-shell funktioniert das gleiche Kommanda.
Also kann man die einzelnen exe der cygwin-Kommandos doch nicht unter
Windows verwenden?

Das Problem dürfte wohl am ehesten darin liegen, rsync die
Windows-Pfadangaben ("D:\irgendwas") so zu verkaufen, daß es damit
etwas anfangen kann.
