Can xtc or ghb be found because of there smell? Does anyone heard of xtc or
ghb bust with the use of dogs?
I know that some drugs like weed and cocain can be found because of there
smell. But how is this with syntetic drugs?

You can always tell real XTC, because it smells like black licorice, and
tastes like shit.

I am sure that dogs can smell xtc. As you will know xtc is often contaminated
with amphetamin
and these synthetic chemival smells heavently because of the amine group which
is a part of the compound. The way it is formed can be play a rule also because
of the heavy smell of ketone groups
for instance.
By the way amphetamin will drive you nuts after frequently use.
