A friend of my neighbour came into a psychotic mood after using "bengal
grass" in Tailand. We want to know what it could be and what to expect. What
class of drug is it?

What did it look like? My top two guesses are that it's either catha edulis
or marijuana, but I certainly could be wrong...

Psychosis is not a mood. It is a complete break with reality. If this
Psychosis is accompanied by memory loss or black out. It was probably marijuana
laced with PCP (Phencyclidine.) Signs of PCP overdose can include paralysis,
foaming at the mouth, Wild mood swings. If your really concerned about your
friend take him to a doctor not a news group. Street myth is that PCP is a
hallucinogenic so you can't OD on it. This is total bull shit. It is actually a
tranquilizer with hallucinogenic side effects. It can kill you just as surely
as any other tranquilizer.

A stimulant containing grass, chewed all around the world. Like weak speed
or very strong coffee.

Thank you all for your reactions!

I think it is strong marijuhana too, but I never heard the term "bengal
grass". Good to know that stuff like that can spoil someones holyday that
much.
