Transportation Options, Resources, and Alternatives for People with Developmental Disabilities (DD) Hosted by the Individual and Family Support Program (IFSP) Regional Councils July 17, 2025 from 6 to 8:15 p.m. Sometimes, it's hard enough to figure out what you have to do to travel to the places you need and want to go. For people with disabilities, it's extra tough to find and access transportation solutions that are inclusive, reliable, affordable, and safe. What transportation options, resources, and alternatives exist in Virginia? Join the Individual and Family Support Program Regional Councils and DBHDS staff on Thursday, July 17th from 6 to 8:15 p.m.! Get tips and resources from experts at the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center and the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation! A panel of adults with DD will also tell us how they get around in their communities. Who should attend? People with developmental disabilities of any age who are interested in learning more about transportation-related tips, resources, and alternatives; Family members, caregivers, and friends; Aging family members and older adults with developmental disabilities who want information about future planning resources; Professionals and other community members supporting people with developmental disabilities, including support coordinators/case managers, providers, and educators; and Anyone interested in this topic!  This event is FREE, but you must register!
