The Office of Community Quality Improvement is pleased to announce the final round of ECTA (Expanded Consultation and Technical Assistance) invitations related to the Health Services Advisory Group (HSAG) Quality Service Review – Round 7. The ECTA Team will focus on data elements 5 through 31 of the Provider Quality Review (PQR), which pertain to the following domains within the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP):

·   Risk Management (RM)

·   Quality Improvement (QI)

·   Data Performance

Who Is Eligible?

QI Specialists will work one-on-one with providers who meet the following criteria:

·   Assessed by HSAG through the Provider Quality Review (PQR) as not meeting the standard in the RM/QI or performance data domains.

·   Have an approved Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) from HSAG that includes one or more of the focus data elements (5–31).

·   Providers are encouraged to review their QEPs to determine whether they have been found as not meeting the standard in the areas of Risk Management, Quality Improvement, or Data Performance by HSAG.

How Will Providers Be Invited?

  • On April 16, 2026, direct invitations will be emailed from EC...@dbhds.virginia.gov to providers’ primary contact for their HSAG review.
  • Response Deadline: Invitations must be accepted by 5pm on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
  • Providers are supported on a first-come, first-served basis, based on QIS availability.

·      Please check your spam/junk folder to ensure you don’t miss the invitation.

Where Is ECTA Offered?

Sessions will be conducted virtually

Important Notes

·   The ECTA Team does not issue QEPs or make determinations on data elements being met or not met.

·   Participation in QSR ECTA is voluntary.

·   There is no guarantee that providers participating in ECTA will be found to meet the focus data elements at their next HSAG Quality Service Review

(QSR), nor does it allow a provider to delay or postpone its next QSR.

However, based on our experience, participation can be helpful to organizations seeking to make improvements in their quality improvement and risk management efforts.

More details will be included in the invitation email. If you have questions, please contact EC...@dbhds.virginia.gov.
