clone_filter: malloc() memory corruption (fast)

Hi all,

I'm running into some weird issues with clone_filter. On some files, it throws the following error:

Reading data from:
  fcad and
  rcad
Writing data to:
  ./fcad.fil.fq_1 and
  ./rcad.fil.fq_2
*** glibc detected *** clone_filter: malloc(): memory corruption (fast): 0x000000003d0323a0 ***

I've split the offending files into smaller pieces (432,903 reads) to try to isolate the issue, but I can't see anything wrong with them.

Any ideas? I saw that Jon had a similar problem that he posted to the Stacks group (https://groups.google.com/d/msg/stacks-users/zuUVqPyGHmA/YG5AGMp0djgJ). Jon, did it ever get resolved?
