Dear Sir

We forward herewith the following

1) Village wise and taluka wise list of godowns ( with capacity ) owned by PACS  in Satara district.

2) Godowns owned by APMCs, main market committees and sub committees.

The DO of CGM on critical projects has been received by us.  Excluding road, bridges, irrigation and social sector and that too not new but ongoing and incomplete,  let us see what we can get. An attempt is being made to find such projects.

with warm regards

Dear Salvekar,
Thanks for responsing so quickly to the request made at the BSM reg data on existing storage structures (PACS Godowns, Bulk Milk Coolers of Coop Milk Societies, Private Dairy Units, Dist and/or Taluk Level Coop Milk Unions, etc) in your dist for the purpose of mapping for maharshtra state. I hope other DDMs will also get the data and send it us quickly.

The text below is for all DDMs and so pl read it carefully and do the needful :

I am eagerly waiting for the information on critical infrastructure in your district as we have to prepare the Power Point Presentation (PPP) and a Note on the same for presentation at HO on 21st in the presence of Chairman and ED. While the 2 DDMs to accompany me for the presenattion at HO will be finalised by Monday (17th), I want all the DDMs to identify the incomplete infrasturucture projects in your dist (irrespective of whether they are under RIDF and outside RIDF, but nevertheless indicating whether under RIDF or outside RIDF). While the shortlisted DDM (to be shortlisted based on the type of infrastructure projects they identify and their capability to make presentations, etc) will have to start preparing the Note and the PPP for the 21st meeting from 17th to 18th and complete it by 18th and send it to me, all other DDMs will have to identify such infrstructure projects (project-wise) which have begun long back and due to cost over-run and time over-run, have not been completed. This can include projects which have been abanded so quite some time and which if completed will have large scale impact for the farmers and increase credit offtake, increase productivity, etc. So pl see all these aspects while identifying critical infrastructure projects. As I see it perhaps the Dist level Irrigation Dept will be able to give most of the information we want. Find out what is the benefit which is to accrue out of such projects in terms of the area expected to be brought under the irrigation potential of that project, and based on the number of villages it will cover, acreage to benefit and based on the normal crops  that can be cultvated on such land and the take into account the scale of finance for such crops, acreage , number of crops in a year, increase in production, per acre productivity, aveage increase in bank credit that will go to support such cultivation, number of farming families that will be benefitted by completing such projects, etc. All DDMs to complete the discussion with the line depts (irrigation dept, Coop dept for investments with ICDP funds for godowns, etc, Dairy Development Dept for investments with NDDB funding for enhancement of capacity of Dairy plants, transport vehicles, development of coop milk societies(??),etc. I have tried to bring out whatever is coming to my mind taking myself to a DDM (20 years reverse gear). Perhaps you are better equipped now. Pl do the needful and let us know latest by Monday evening (17th) so that I can consolidate similar type of projects (like irrigation projs for instance) and prepare the proposal for the state as a whole which I am supposed to make a PPP on 21st to Chairman and ED. I want all DDMs to give me inputs latest by 17th evening (Monday) to keep the flag of Maharashtra flying high. If you let me down, we all go down, remember. And mind you those of you who are able to get inf with data even on Saturday (15th) pl pass it on as early as possible so that my work can commence.

I hope all DDMs will appreciate the importance of the task given and rise to the occassion.

With regards,

Ashok

Ashok
