AGRO VISION 2013, a exposition on agriculture and allied activities was organised on Reshimbagh Ground, Nagpur from 24 to 27 January 2013. The event was jointly organised by MM Activ Cytech Communication, Vidarbha Economic Development Council and Purti Power and Sugar Ltd. The various events including workshops were sponsored by various private and government agencies. The exposition was inaugurated by Dr. Agnes Kalibata ,Minister of Agriculture, Rawanda. The iminent personalities present during the inauguration include Shri Nitin Gadkari, Ex.National President of BJP and Chief Patron of Agrovision, Dr. C.D Mayee retired Chairman of ASRB, New Delhi, Shri Chandrashekar Sahu, Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vijay Darda, Rajya Sabha MP and Chairman of Lokmat Group, Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Ex MP, experts and farmers from all over the State of Maharashtra and MP, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Rajasthan. The exposition was also visited by Hon'ble Shri Sharad Pawar, Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of India. He has appreciated the event and shown interest in organising next national exhibition on agriculture at Nagpur
The event was an atttempt to introduce farmers to mechanised agriculture, other technologies and to make farmers of Vidarbha progressive and prosperous. About 150 companies had set up a stall and about 40 workshops were also organised to dessiminate the information on advances in agriculture to the farmers. NABARD has alloted a stall to 4 agencies including SHG. The stalls alloted to partner agencies viz AROHA, NCT have displayed honey, hand embroidered products and Myco Compost a RIF project supported by NABARD. The stall displaying hand embroidered products supported by NABARD under Cluster Development Programme was visited by Minister of Agriculture, Rawanda and Shri Nitin Gadkari. She has also purchased some items on the stall. The NABARD has also made presentation during workshop on agriculture credit. The DDM has guided the farmers etc.about various GoI's subsidy schemes. The NABARD was felicited with Momento by Shri Nitin Gadkari during valediction programme.
