Gateway Chan Retreat

To learn fundamental methods of relaxation and concentration and be introduced to Silent Illumination and Huatou by Guo Gu 

 

This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for the members and supports of Dharma Drum Mountain SF Chapter to have Guo Gu, one of the senior disciples of Venerable Master Sheng Yen, to come back and share his deep understanding of Chan and meditation experience, and guide us through a two-day meditation retreat.

 

This weekend Gateway to Chan Retreat is the introduction to all the major methods taught in the Dharma Drum Lineage.  The pace of this retreat is easy going and the schedule is flexible.  Comprehensive explanations and instructions will be given, so that the participants will be able to fully understand and comfortably follow the various practices unique to our Chan retreats.

Two-day intermediate level Chan Retreat

November 09, Saturday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM

November 10, Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Fee: $100 (suggested donation)
