UCMIS and CDI production process

Do we have a documentation about UCMIS and the production process in GitHub or some official DDI site? I could only find Achim’s repo.

Between you and me. Yes, I was unable to find UCMIS documentation after somebody asked me to consider adding it to the ISO draft.

If Wendy can find something we need to move it to a more prominent place.

Hi all,

Here are some clarifications:

UCMIS is mentioned in the About section of the DDI-CDI field-level documention, see: https://docs.ddialliance.org/DDI-CDI/1.0/model/FieldLevelDocumentation/about/ucmis/index.html

There is a link to the UCMIS repository. More information is available there.

The status of UCMIS is mature but it is not ready for publication. Some documentation work is planned for finalizing.

UCMIS-M2T is the production tool for generating the field-level documentation and the encodings. The standalone production with this tool is available at https://bitbucket.org/wackerow/ddi-cdi_production/. A readme file and a PDF file provides the relevant documentation.

Thanks, Wendy. I found those, but in the end they link to Achim’s bitbucket repo.

 

I guess I was asking about whether we have that hosted in an official DDI repo (e.g. github)

Thanks, Achim. As I told Wendy, I was referring to hosting. I think we should have a copy of the documents in some DDI Alliance site.

I think we haven't done it yet as we are moving the bitbucket content to github. I will make an agenda item regarding a better and broader publication plan for processes (for all products).
