Easter 2026

The First Day

The tomb was no longer occupied.

The gifts of the Magi were finally used up,

and the binding cloths, like Temple robes, discarded.

He had gasped with the Resurrection breath

that he would later bestow on his followers,

and then Jesus hid again, so that he could not be found,

only revealed.

New life was at large in a world still locked in.
