I followed the quickstart install guide, as well as the full install guide, and I cannot get to my DDF instance's admin console from any browser. Every browser gives some message about invalid certificates when I try to connect via HTTPS, and when I add exceptions for my instance's URL in Firefox or Chrome, they still say "Failed to establish a secure connection".

I can connect via HTTP, but all that shows up is this:

Is there something I need to do after installation to get valid certificates installed? I've tried everything in the Certificates (Quick Start) section of the documentation, and nothing changes. I noticed that the CertNew.sh script just makes files in the directory its run from though. Should I put those files somewhere else? The documentation doesn't say what to do with the generated certificates.

Michael,

Can you tell us what version of DDF you are using? If you are using an older baseline, my first guess would be that the self-signed CA/cert is expired.

An untrusted cert warning is expected, as the certs are not signed by any recognized certificate authority. You may also see this warning if there is a mismatch in hostnames.

DDF does not enable HTTP by default. You could try changing that property and restarting DDF.

I would also check the logs for any certificate or keystore related errors. Usually the first error in the log after startup is the root cause, and later errors are side effects of that.
