How do you uninstall solr?

How do you uninstall solr? When I attempt use an external security token service, solr attempts to contact the internal security token service. I did research on solr and I don't think I need the functionality.

Solr uses the same security framework as everything else, if it is attempting to get to the local STS then everything else will as well. You don't have the external STS configuration set up correctly. Check out the other thread on the subject.
