We are pleased to announce Travis McMahon, Blen Desta, Emily Berk, Garrett Freibott, Matthew Calcote, Michael O’Connor, Patrick Ouellet, Ryan Yeats, and Troy Mohl as new committers.

  • Travis added attribute mapping to the CSW endpoint, worked extensively on taxonomy-related concerns, and has made major efforts on software testing at the architecture level.
  • Blen has been one of the most active contributors of security related changes over the past year and a half with 54 PRs.
  • Emily’s many contributions demonstrate a wide breadth of knowledge of the code base including Karaf upgrades and has proven to be a careful reviewer dedicated to following our process.
  • Garrett has been working hard finding and reporting security vulnerabilities and is responsible for finding the vulnerability that lead to adding the security manager to DDF.
  • Matthew has a broad view of the system - focused on repository structure, CI/CD improvements, and overall developer experience - which has been to everyone's benefit.
  • Michael has an in-depth knowledge of the build process and DDF’s continuous integration infrastructure. He has pioneered efforts in docker with regards to DDF and has contributed to several areas of the codebase including Solr, configuration, and dependency upgrades.
  • Patrick has brought a deep knowledge of Java to the team, which has enabled him to make large contributions to various areas of the codebase. In addition to some of his major DDF contributions, he has helped spearhead the new acdebugger project.
  • Active since 2015, Ryan has contributed several large, core features to the DDF baseline. His deep knowledge of OSGi, java, and other frameworks are are incredibly valuable addition to the DDF team.
  • Troy has proven his ability to work in and contribute value to any area of the codebase having touched geospatial processing, the catalog taxonomy, Solr, CSW, OpenSearch, the UI, and the security framework to name a few.

The DDF PMC has recognized their hard work and contributions and are pleased to welcome them aboard.

Keep up the great work, everyone!
