On average DDF has been released about 2 times a year (roughly every 6 months). In an effort to release more frequently, I am proposing we go to monthly releases. This will allow the community to receive features faster (even if they are not fully mature yet) and developers of specific components will have more recent released artifacts to build with. It will require some strong and clear communication on what versions will be supported but I believe we will work that out. There will be other challenges that arise as we learn, but I would rather try it than try to anticipate every issue. This would not prevent anybody from continuing to develop with SNAPSHOTS as they are today.

Please vote to approve this release

+1 = Approve

-1 = Veto the release (Recommend specific reasons)

The vote will be open for more than 72 hours (since we have a weekend approaching). I'll plan to close after Monday, February 11th.

Vote passes. We'll start working on a monthly release cycle and aim to start with this month.
