Dear all,

This is really not a technical question, but how do you persuade developers and managers to take advantage of DDD strategic design and CQRS?  I just got a new job and want to talk people into trying DDD, but not sure how to proceed without offending senior developers.

If the context  helped, it is an insurance company which exposes sales related functions through WCF server (Such as premium calculation).

Regards

I think you'll find it hard to convince people of anything as the FNG until you've proven yourself...unless you were specifically hired for your DDD expertise.

My approach would be to listen as much as possible and try to present tailored solutions to specific problems. Then listen some more.

Otherwise you risk it sounding like you are saying "you guys are morons and are doing everything wrong; here let me show you how it's done..."

+1 for the "My approach would be to listen as much as possible and try to present tailored solutions to specific problems. Then listen some more.".

Always be humble and avoid to impose yourself, it will be a long task and maybe you will not be able to finish it but use it as experience.
