What is the relationship between "Event Sourcing" and "Lambda Architecture"

I read the first response to the following post:

and I wondered if their was a clear relationship between the two approaches. Anyone have any insight?

Not really from what I have seen.

More of a focus on speed vs batch but ideas are largely overlapping not surprising as they really aren't new.
