Once you will get the loan approval your bank will give you a letter which saying that you are taking loan from ABC bank/institution. This is to be just an information to DDA and to be submitted @ INA office counter no. 4.

once a lien is marked on any  property.it is an intimation that the same is being mortagaged against loan and cannot be sold without noc from the loan provider unless lien hasnt been removed

Hi All,

Has any of you got loan from ICICI ? My employer has a corporate tie up with them so I have got the loan sanctioned from them @10.25

Now the people here at ICICI are not aware of the lien letter format, so can I use the one given by sbi with modifications. Also they are asking for permission to mortgage from dda, now will this acknowledgement from dda suffice ?

Regards,

If you apply for Home loan, Lien letter needed, basically a format provided by bank which is acknowladged by DDA and needs to be submitted at bank at the time of documentation/disbursment

Its the requirement from the bank giving loan. I think if icici don't want then its not required.

Or to be on safer side you can use the format of any bank.

every bank has its own format... i too asked from my loan provider to use the one from sbi but they refused it saying its as per bank formalities and my format was even signed and stamped by the bank officials( indiabulls) along with my signatures..

Does this acknowledgement mention the name of the lender I.e the bank to which lien is being made?
Anybody can share the contents of acknowledgement?

It is not just marking of lien. There is no name in the ack, but the
application form must have the Agency/bank name.
DDA will put the lien in favor of the loan agency.
At the time of execution of sale deed, DDA will hand off the paper for
registration to the representative of the Agency only (not you).
So, be careful while giving lien application to DDA.

thanks
Pardeep

In layman's terms...your financer is the owner of the property till you pay off the debt...
