Hi All,

First of all, it is a great thing to have such an active and
informative group. Thanks a lot to everybody who has been contributing
here.

I think we should have a thread where every member introduces
him/herself. Let me begin with myself first:

I am Om Deshmukh. work as a scientist with one of the MNCs. am alloted
a HIG in D-6 VK. I am stay in D-6 Vasant Kunj, of course in a rented
apartment.

Would love to hear from you all.

How about making a plan to meet up over one of these weekends?

Welcome onboard! You are spot on, we should introduce ourselves and know each other beyond information sharing, especially when lot of us are future neighbors.

I am Santanu Haldar; IT (Information Technology) is my profession and working for HCL Technologies Ltd as Operation Director. I came to Delhi from West Bengal in the year 1987, being recruited from campus by Electronics Trade and Technology Development Corporation Ltd.

At personal front, I got married Gayatri in the year 1993; she is a housewife; we are blessed with two kids, Rajdeep (Class IX) and Rishita (Class IV). My parents and In-laws stay in West Bengal.

In early days (87-96), I used to stay in west Delhi area  (Hari Nagar & Vikas Kunj) on rented accommodation, however moved to our own flat at Vaishali in the year 2001. My wife,  Gayetri  been lucky to get an allotment of a HIG Flat at Ganga – 6, Vasant Kunj.

I have my own flat at Pitampura

First I have to make the allotment in the name added with my Son so that Loan will be easy. Unless both apply for loan, the payment will be difficult for us

I'm Sandeep Kumar working in an IT company in Noida, married and have
a daughter of 3 yrs. I'm born and bought up in Delhi. Got the
allotment for HIG in Rohini Sec 29 in my wife's name. As she is a
housewife, I will be the co-applicant for loan only and no plans to
add name as co-allot-tee. The reason is simple, women owners have less
taxes to pay on immovable properties.

not eligible to get flat in DDA new allotment 2010. So Dear be careful

My name is Sonu and I have been allotted a flat at Vasant Kunj HIG at
Narmada?
Did any one get any letter (Demand or Intimation or
otherwise) from DDA for HIG VK. Pls updated the gropu so that we can
be sure that they have start sending the DL or IL of VK HIG. Till
date
I have not got any letter.


I had visited the site on 3rd Sept, There is still lots of work to be
done in Narmada. There is only say 10 to 15% additional work being
done there since my 1st visit in April. The worker (as there was no
officer) there said it would probablt take 9 to 12 months to complete
the work.

Hopefully, this grand initiative will continue after completion of possession though in suitably modified form. After possession there would be need for greater interaction among members in specific areas, blocks, schemes though some general issues with D D A would continue for ever!

In this context, I wonder if it is possible to prepare separate lists of members for different localities, schemes ( V K D 6, Jasola...etc.). I don't know how much work this would involve and if this is at all possible.

The idea of separate lists for different localities was discussed a few times earlier. It was felt then that most of us, irrespective of the locality, will face the same set of issues till we actually get the possession, complete the registry and start living in our respective localities. And so it is better to have one big group for all for now. later on we can get into separate sub-fora under the same forum.

Your point is well taken - most problems and procedures are common to all allotees and this forum has been of tremendous help for all of us.

Since possession process has now started (and some members have actually taken possession ), we can think about specific locality wise groups.

Of course, it is understood that there will always be need for the 'parent or umbrella' group as problems with D D A will never end!
