Hello All,
I have received my demand letter today. I am attaching scanned copy of letter received by me.
Few points that I would like to mention:
1) I am not posting the demand letter because it contains all the information related to me only. I am mentioning here important points written in that.
2) Last date of making payment without penalty is 28-nov-11 and with penalty is 28-feb-12.
3) I had taken 1.5L registration amount loan from axis bank. And I received these documents from Axis bank by courier.
4) On DDA website, my status is still being shown as AL.

Shivani Singhal

Dear Shivani,

Thanks for providing an update, this is very helpful!

Could you please put some light on where have you been allotted the flat and is the cost in the demand letter same as mentioned in the DDA Brochure. We have been hearing that there is a lot of difference on sizes mentioned in Brochure and in the demand letter, so want to clear this out.

Regards,
Harpreet

Hi Shivani,

Thanks for posting the same. I can understand the letter contains many details relevant to your flat only. But can you please mention how they have calculated the total costing. I guess that would benefit all group members to understand and estimate (approximately) the cost of our own individual flat.

Best regards

Thanks,

Hi!

Can you please also share the stage of completion of your flat? Whether already completed or still under construction.

Why I am asking this info is that per some sources, DL is being issued only for the flats which are situated in completely completed 'pockets'.

Please confirm.

Best...

Thank you so much for the update Shivani.
This information will be much useful to all of us who are  checking status in DDA website.
This implies that we can expect DL at any time without changing status on DDA website.
We are getting 2 months time for making payment , that should be sufficient I suppose in normal case.

Dear Shivani,

Though we understand that the demand letter contains information
related to you only, we'd be happy to see its copy, if and only if you
do not have any problem.

Please ignore this message, if you still choose to not post the demand
letter.

Thanks for your help.

DDA delays mailing letters

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has done it again. The process
of disbursing verification letters to successful applicants of its
2010 housing scheme had got delayed by more than a month. Now the next
phase of sending demand letters seems to be following the same path.
The land
development agency, which had held the draw of lots for the nearly
16,000 flats on offer on April 18, had said that the dispatch of
demand letters to allottees would begin by the first week of August.
The month has come to an end but large numbers of allottees are yet to
receive the letter.

The first phase of the allotment — sending verification letters to
applicants — was delayed by more than a month and some people didn’t
get the letters even then. The applicants were supposed to submit
documents with DDA by June 15, after receiving their verification
letters. With many applicants not receiving the letter, the deadline
was shifted first to June 30 and then to July 15.

Now, allottees who have completed all verification formalities, are
facing a similar ordeal waiting for their demand letters. “The whole
process is badly mismanaged by DDA and getting my dream home has
become a nightmare,” said Sunil Thapar (name changed on request), who
has been allotted a flat in Rohini.

“Earlier, I had to patiently wait for the verification letter that
never came and I had to visit the DDA office. It seems I have to again
make rounds of the DDA headquarters to receive the demand letter too,”
he said.
“The allotment-cum-demand letters are being sent to allottees and if
anyone doesn’t receive the letter by September 15, they can come
directly to our office,” said a DDA spokesperson.

After they get the demand letter, allottees have 90 days time to pay
the whole amount of the flat. Allottees can also pay the amount within
180 days, however, they would have to pay an interest amount. After
180 days, DDA would cancel the allotment of those who fail to pay. The
process of taking possession of the flat would take two months after
the payment

You don't have to do anything except waiting. Everyone is doing the
same................:)

I think in this group only 2 people have got their demand letters.
