Since we are looking at places not too far and possibly with a 1-2 night stay, possible places are: (kindly discuss other viable options as well)

Probably the weekend after midsems. I figure most of us should be free then.

+1 to Kolad. Wiki says Jan-Feb is good season. And we can go for rafting and camping as well.

Okay with Mahabaleshwar too. I haven't been there, but I think many people might have.

Both options are good. Though with Mahabaleshwar, we have a lot of options (http://www.holidify.com/mahabal). Panchgani also gets covered on the way. I am personally excited about Mahabaleshwar, but Kolad is also great. We just have to check if water rafting is still on.

If Rafting is not possible then Mahabaleshwar would be brillliant at this time of the year! I can already taste strawberries in my mouth :)

Mahabaleshwar has tons of things to do... and it can be done in 2 days. Although I feel that 8-9th would be a bit early. we can also go after midsem, if water sports would still be there.
