Families in Virginia are fighting back against the discrimination imposed on their loved ones.
"Families and legal guardians, on behalf of residents from each of the five Virginia Training Centers, filed a motion to intervene as parties in the action so they have a legal voice in the outcome of the case. A second, separate motion seeks to dismiss the case, arguing that DOJ did not have standing to bring suit."
We have to be the voice for those who cannot speak. Many "advocates" say "nothing about us without us" yet those same "advocates" will turn around and hurt others. This type of "advocacy" does not have a place in a continuum of care.
Thank you,
Cheryl
