Join DC Young Professionals at these upcoming events:

Volunteer at Aiton Elementary School’s Library Beautification Day

When: Saturday, August 11^th

Where: 533 48th Place NE, Washington, DC 20019

 

Volunteers are needed to help refurbish the library at Aiton Elementary School in time for fall 2018! After Kiwanis is finished, the Aiton library will look like a brand new place where the students can retreat and read. Please help us make this a great space for kids to learn. Coming for any part of the day helps!

Shift 1 - 9:30am - 11:30am
Lunch will be provided by the club and great time to meet new people.
Shift 2 - 12:30pm - 3:00pm

Volunteers will:
-Paint (in fun school colors!)
-Clean & Dust
-Take Book Inventory (all books will be reviewed to determine if new ones need to be purchased)
-Organize new books and materials
-Install new artwork, displays, and signage
-Final prep for school year start
