All,

Lindsey has had difficulty paying on time and she cancelled her Membership effective 1 Sep, so she did not pay by 5 Aug for Sep coverage.

However, she is a current Member who has been responsive when we have requested action to maintain her Membership.

The question is whether to allow her to extend her coverage, and it looks like Todd can do this.  Any dissent?  Or is there another action would we like to take?

Beat regards,
David

Hi Lindsey

Thanks for reaching out to us.  I have cc’d in the DCSTFI board who will be able to make the call and address this.  Once they respond, I can act accordingly.

Thanks and be back with you soonest.

Subject: urgent question about DCSTFI health insurance coverage

Hello Todd,

I was a AAAS/SRCD fellow for the year 2012-13, and I just recently became a federal employee, so I will be enrolling in a federal health insurance plan.  However, the coverage has not started yet, and my health insurance through DCSTFI is set to end on Sept 1st.  Is there any way my insurance coverage can continue to the end of September?  I can write a check for the full amount due and mail right away tomorrow.  I realize I have been late on the payments, but I would really appreciate any help you can give.  I very much need my health insurance coverage to be in place as I have some health issues I am currently attending to.  I am trying to avoid a gap in coverage before my federal health plan kicks in.

I very much apologize for any inconvenience.  If you would like to discuss this further, I can be reached at 904-860-7032.

Thanks very much for your help,

Lindsey Hutchison

If she's a good, though often late member, I think it's reasonable if she sends the payment as promised.

Thanks, Everyone.

Todd just asked if we can double-check if she is actually current.  I'll ask Joanne to check and send an invoice.
