Role: Java Technical Lead

Location: Richmond, VA (Onsite)

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java technologies, Microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end design and development of Java-based applications.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance systems using Microservices architecture.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Drive CI/CD implementation, DevOps integration, and automated testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and delivery management.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8+ and J2EE technologies.
• Experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and REST APIs.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, system design, and software architecture.
• Proven Technical Lead or Team Lead experience.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare domain experience.
• Java, Cloud, or Agile certifications.
• Prior UST Global project experience (please provide project/account details and dates).
