About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Business Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will bridge the gap between raw data and business decision-making, helping stakeholders understand trends, identify opportunities, and improve operational efficiency through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze business data from multiple sources (CRM, ERP, spreadsheets, databases)
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key business metrics and KPIs
• Partner with department leads to understand business needs and translate them into data requirements
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support strategic decision-making
• Prepare clear, concise summaries and presentations of findings for non-technical stakeholders
• Support ad hoc data requests and analysis for ongoing projects
• Recommend process improvements based on data insights
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity across reporting systems
• Document analysis methodology and data sources for repeatability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or similar role
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
• Experience with SQL for querying and analyzing data
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Google Data Studio)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis
• Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
• Prior experience in [industry — e.g., retail, healthcare, logistics — customize as needed]
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
