Hi Everyone  (Sori Frens i tried sending with the pictures  (artwork) but was returned for it is more than 1MB)

Further to my last email on getting a gift for LEE College and our Anchorman Menon to be presented during our Graduation Ceremony.

Max Goh and myself discussed this and have done the leg work for the above epoxy plaques to be ready by Graduation Day. The whole process will take about 2 weeks. The plaques will be presented on behalf of the 17th Intake.

Max has spoken to his Group (Group One) and I have spoken to some of my Group Members who are agreeable to the above presentation. A few of us has also emailed me willing to contribute towards the group presentation.

Two pictures will be embedded on a wooden plaque with an epoxy finish with full colour.

Team 6 has emailed confirming that they will be getting their own gift .

The cost of the epoxy plaques are as follows:

Artwork  (to give a professional finish)    :    $   70.00
Photo Prints for Epoxy finish                     :    $   40.00
02 x Plaques with Epoxy Finish                :    $ 300.00

This translates to about $15.00 per person. Todate I already have about 16 of us willing to share the cost. We need another 11 to contribute so that we can break even.

Payment can be made to us on the Graduation Day.

We believe the plaques will be unique to 17th Intake and humbly seek your support.

Another suggestion if there is a surplus we can order a nice flower stand expressing our heartfell thanks to our parents and family members for their support which can be placed at the entrance during our graduation ceremony.

Max's Email dated 26th August 2006 sourcing for a reasonable and good producer of epoxy plaques.

Dear Ram,

Just to update u a little. As recommended by my retd officer who is now doing the epoxy for plaques made by a co. at Kg Ubi. This friend of his is charging $120/- per plaque, if we provide the artwork in b-n-w. I have seen the product samples at Kg ubi today and they are similar to the prod I saw at Kallang Place yesterday, and also similar to the plaque I have. With this price, I think we can achieve a saving of about $140/- ($500 as quoted by kallang , against Ubi's $240/- + $60 (artwork) + abt $60 for epoxy ie total $360/- for 2 plaques, therefore savings of $140/-)

Time taken for 2 plaques is about 1 week, plus 3 to 4 days for eboxy, so total abt 11 days. If you send the artwork to Ubi on 31/8, we will rx the plaques by 11 Sep 2006, and have 21 clear days to the graduation day.

Good things must always come to a good ending! The light seems to be passed around  ... you see... We were guided by the light, and finally received enlightenment!!!! ... those who provide the light also feel very light on 23 Sep as they have thus, unloaded what they were supposed to do for the past 10 months. this is the theory of transference of light, i suppose.

Let me help you to finish the unfinished task just h/o to me the artwork in black and white and also let me have the artwork with colour, so that they can make the film and add the colour for the plaque.

Max

Appreciate your response via email.

Thank you.

Dear All

I met Ram (and also Max) in SPRING Singapore (was there to attend a course) and I had the privilege of being the first person to see the 2 beautiful plaques yesterday.

The 2 of them did a good job...Ram came up with the artwork while Max looked into the end product and he even penned the poems.

I have agreed to help Ram collect the $15 each from all those who have agreed to join us in the gifts.  To minimise inconvenience, I would appreciate it if you could get ready exact sum for payment tomorrow.  And perhaps you could come to me so that I need not have to search for you.  That would certainly make my job easier.  So thanks in advance for your understanding and co-operation.

See you on our Graduation Day!
