The Sukhi Project
Website Launch!
Hey Janet!

Welcome to the Sukhi Project! We're excited to share Sukhi with you, so let’s start with the basics. Sukhi translates to “Happiness” in Sanskrit; we plan to promote just that. Our team is dedicated to reducing the stigma of seeking connection by increasing access to support services within the Asian American community. So much so, that we all quit our jobs, took a leap, and started a social enterprise!

We're also super excited to announce that our website is now LIVE! To celebrate, we're throwing a party and you're invited! Read on for more details and our mission to promote happiness:

We want our newsletter to reflect our core values and be a space to share resources and support on mental wellness. We believe in more than simply a technical solution; instead, we want to build on a growing movement and use technology when relevant.

So right now, here's our
vision
  1. Connection - Culturally sensitive matchmaking to health providers
  2. Community - Building online and offline spaces
  3. Content - Curating a digital library of resources to help build resiliency, i.e., podcasts, video, audio, articles, etc.
What do you think? What are we missing? What do you love? Let us know! Shoot us an email at stay...@thesukhiproject.com.
Meet Our Team!

Co-Founder & CEO

Rahul co-founded Sukhi as a reaction to the hurt he saw in his close friends and family. He hopes the platform will help minority communities access culturally tailored support. Prior to Sukhi, Rahul was a strategy consultant for McKinsey, a global health official (UN World Food Program, USAID) and a wide-eyed rock guitarist. When not making PowerPoint slides, you can find him dancing salsa through Latin America, writing soul music and finding balance on yoga mats in over 50 countries.

Sourabh Sinha
Co-Founder & CTO

Sourabh co-founded Sukhi while searching for a way to integrate Artificial Intelligence and Telemedicine to encourage Asian American to seek mental help and get better. Before Sukhi, Sourabh has held various Product Development executive positions at companies like Microsoft. He received his Aerospace engineering degree from IIT Kanpur and MBA at UW. Sourabh is based out of Seattle and loves the Pacific Northwest and all the adventure it offers.

Janet joined Sukhi to continue her work in the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community focusing on mental health issues. Having family and friends struggling to find resources or spaces to work on their mental health, she found the mission and goals of Sukhi aligned with her strong passion to help develop more resources for the AAPI mental health community. She is excited to join the team to help share this wonderful resource to the affected communities.

Final Thoughts

Communication is hard, especially within the Asian community. Read the 5 Love Languages of Asian parents on our site!

Comic by Lela Lee of Angry Little Girls, Inc. featuring an Asian child and her mom. Child says, "I got you a gift," and the mom responds, "Why was your money!!!"
