Take a Bite Out of Sound
Benefiting the D.C. Central Kitchen, a community kitchen focused on solving the interconnected problems of poverty, hunger, and homelessness, SoundBites is a half-outdoor feast, half-indoor concert full of tasty eats and hot jams. Starting the event is a tented food bazaar outside of 9:30 Club, chock-full of free samples from lots of the area’s finest cuisine-purveyors. After getting your nosh on, we’ll open the Club’s doors, where you can work off all of that deliciousness by grooving with five of the scene’s best DJs and bands. This May, help a D.C. establishment that truly deserves it, while having some of the best food-fueled fun of your life.

O.A.R. Presale
After just playing the main stage at Preakness Infieldfest, Maryland’s own roots/rockers O.A.R are heading back out for another summer tour. Early this year the group released the live CD, Rain Or Shine, as they get ready to put out a brand new studio album in the coming months. Performing an opening set is the always-enticing singer/songwriter Citizen Cope, who just released his fourth album, The Rainwater LP. Spend a summer night with O.A.R. when they bring one of the best live performances around to Merriweather Post Pavilion this July.

Road Rules
An offshoot of the popular two-day festival, The Bamboozle Roadshow is a traveling musical circus, with unique lineups and rotating sets for each show of the tour. Its local stop this Friday features MD-based pop-punk sensations All Time Low and Good Charlotte, in addition to fellow rad rockers Boys Like Girls, Hanson, and Cartel. This Friday afternoon party has two stages, twelve bands, and enough energy to launch Merriweather to the moon.
