I have just installed on Ubuntu 12.04 using the following: http://cdmedicpacsweb.sourceforge.net/CDMEDIC_PACS_WEB.html

It seemed to work. I could access the web interface and set up Osirix on the AET manager page. The echo seemed to work fine.

I set up a location in Osirix, but it wouldn't send. So I rebooted the server.

Now I can't open the web interface at all.

Where can I find the log so that I can post it here for help please?

Thanks,

Jonathan
P.S. less importantly, where are DICOM files stored? How can I configure that?

you should see that in your jboss-log4.xml configuration file. The logfile is called server.log which yous should find somewhere on your system (maybe in something like /var/log/dcm4chee/server.log or similar).
The dicom files are stored depending on your FilesystemMgmt ONLINE mbean configuration. By default dcm4chee will store it inside an "archive" called folder  in your dcm4chee installation directory.
If you go to JMX Console and then to the bean you have a function called listAllFilesytems where you should see the configured filesystems.

Thanks,

I can now get to the login page.

However, I then get this message:

  Internal error
Throwable: ITab.getPanel() returned null. TabbedPanel [2:modules] ITab index [0]
Page: class org.apache.wicket.Page

And can proceed no further.

I can't make head or tail of the log files.

Any ideas please?

Thanks,

Jonathan
P.S. I know I will have to ask more when I can't send files from Osirix. What is the best resource for a noob to help figure things out on my own?

You have more than 1 jboss instance running - ports already in use errors.

Thanks for your help,

Not sure how that came about. I wondered if it were a problem with the rc.local file, but it doesn't seem so.

I used netstat (had to run as root to see the programs on those ports) to find out what was listening to the ports and this is an extract of what I got:

tcp        0      0 *:4444                  *:*                     LISTEN      1426/java        off (0.00/0/0)

tcp        0      0 *:1098                  *:*                     LISTEN      1425/java        off

Is that another jboss instance? It says Java, but when I open Task Manager and look for those PIDs, they can't be found. Do I have to run Task Manager as root too? It won't start with gksudo. If Jboss, why is it running twice?

Thanks

Jonathan

Ok I found the processes responsible - see screenshot of System Monitor. Any ideas what to do? I can't seem to stop those processes..

do you have any other jboss/apache/... service installed ? You can also change the ports of jboss (google helps how to do that).
