modality worklist

Hi

my RIS is able to send ORM^O01 message to dcm4che modality worklist. Now is it possible to transfer this work list to modality. If so then how and where should i configure them. Any help or guidance is much appreciated.

You need to find on your modality (ultrasound, ct, mr...) options for configuration of "modality worklist"
Modality worklist from you modality need to query dcm4chee modality worklist in order to pull the patient list from dcm4chee.

Hi Maju.

You can make your first tests sending an ORM^O01 message to dcm4chee. Then, you should be able to query it through the modality worklist tab on the dcm4chee web interface. You can also use some modality emulator, like this one: http://dicom.dvtk.org/modules/wiwimod/index.php?page=Modality+Emulator&cmenu=products

On the modality emulator, or in the real modality, you have to configure the MWL server (your dcm4chee) and the query that the modality is going to do against the MWL server. Normally it will query by the modality type and the study date. Other advanced configurations could include the scheduled station name or scheduled station aetitle, but for these two fields you have to customize some other things.

I try the Modality Emulator and it work. let see whether it work in real modality.
