Study description in MWL

Hi,

I have deployed dcm4chee-arc-psql:5.22.0-secure (dockerized) and using it MWL feature. Some of my Modalities are not sending Study Description so I want to send Study Description in my MWL HL7 file but till now I am unable to send Study Description in my MWL HL7 file. Can anyone guide me that in which segment of HL7 file and at which field of the segment i should send the Study Description information? My HL7 version is 2.5.1

My HL7 file is:

If you are intended to use HL7 2.5.1 version, then you have to use OMI - Imaging Order Message (Event O23) instead of ORM^O01 message.

Plese guide me if I am using IPC segment too in my MWL and my sample MWL is as follow:

Actually I want to send Study Description in my MWL agains DICOM TAG no 0008,1030. So in which segment and filed I should sent Study Description information against DICOM TAG 0008,1030 ??

You can send the study description in scheduled procedure step description tag in modality worklist response. However it is just to show what procedure has to be performed for the patient in the modality worklist and the modality may not use the same description received in worklist response while sending the study to PACS.

Thank you Prakash Jayaraman for your quick response.

I have tried this but the issue is the same as you said (the modality may not use the same description received in worklist response while sending the study to PACS).

My concern is when modality sends data to PACS, it should use the same description received in MWL as my modality is not sending Study Description either its own protocol selected or received from MWL.

You can get the assistance from the modality service engineer to enable to send the protocol performed in the study description tag.
