dear all,

how to add new tag/attribute for MWL using UI edit MWL and also how do i map in same new added tag in order hl7 message. 

dcm4chee 2.x was allowing to directly enter dicom tag and its value.

you can use the UI by going to Navigation->MWL and click on edit (see the attached image).

Hi, I know that option but I want to add new dicom tag… which is basically not listed in search list….

Can you please show in archive UI what exactly you are trying and which DICOM tag you want to add? The list of MWL attributes in the Add new MWL or Edit MWL functions shown in / selectable from the Add new attribute dropdown follows Attributes for Modality Worklist Information Model.

As you may have already seen the table for Modality Worklist Attributes, Study ID is not part of MWL attributes, but instead it is part of the General Study Module attributes.

Can you please help me understand why you are trying to add Study ID to MWL attributes?

Thanks for knowledge sharing info, I do understand as this tag is something unique i have identified and recently i have discovered that one of the Modality is specifically looking for 00020,0010 as Study Description. 

Normally all modalities will fetch study description from  00321060 Requested Procedure Description in my experience, But i dont know this particular modality from GE is specifically looking for above tag as study description and if not sent from MWL then study description is showing as {undefined)

also i found area in arch ui where you can add new dicom tag - dcm4cheearc-device extension-archive extension-MWL attributes = I tried adding this tag and appears to valid, but not reflecting in edit mwl screen while adding new tag of "Add new attribute".

If the modality is unable to use Requested Procedure Description, it may also make use of Scheduled Procedure Step Description present in Scheduled Procedure Step Sequence. You may also refer them to RAD-5 Query Worklist Transaction.

This will not help, as the attribute filter indicates the list of attributes which shall get stored to the database whenever a particular entity is received by the archive. The list of attributes you see in the dropdown on Edit / Add MWL is hardcoded according to DICOM Information Object Definitions

How do I take backup of whole dcm4chee arc 5.25.2 which is running on dockerized version on Ubuntu 18.

Backup which includes configuration and data, Postgres db.

If you're using dockerized version, your configuration / data / storage is already mapped out (i.e. you have backup)

See volumes section in your containers' definition.

volumes section in your containers' definition. link is just installation link. i didnt get you? Didnt find any section. or did you mean whole folder /var/local/dcm4chee-arc/* can be copied as backup?

Yes, the folders within this location can be used as backup. If you choose to use a different archive version, /var/local/dcm4chee-arc/wildfly should be deleted before restarting your archive with newer version. On similar lines, if you're using secured dockerized version of archive and want to upgrade your keycloak version - delete /var/local/dcm4chee-arc/keycloak before.
