Licensing options for dcm4che toolkit & integration on commercial applications

Hi to the group,

We are a startup company located in EU, currently designing some products/services targetting to healthcare & more specifically on medical imaging field.

We are evaluating/testing dcm4che among some other dicom toolkits and it seems to be a quite comprehensive library for our needs. Seems to fit for the job ...

I am aware about its licensing scheme (https://dcm4che.atlassian.net/wiki/display/proj/License) and i also can see that there are several companies already using the dcm4che for their products (https://dcm4che.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=950315). I have also tried to find a "person/contact" to communicate asking details about licensing options or limitations however i could not find such one :) ... So i am asking on this group publically ...

Since i am not an expert on software licensing and our dicom products/services are going to be parts of a larger software ecosystem the question is the following:

We need to use/integrate some of the dcm4che toolkit utilities unmodified: some jars + some utility classes as they are: Dcm2Dcm.java, Dcm2Jpg.java, DcmRcv.java,  StorageSCP.java into our products/services.

We also need to grant a full, exclusive license (full intellectual rights & product/code ownership) to our clients (actually gonna sell these products/services) and we are wondering if licensing scheme of dcm4che is enough/appropriate for such a purpose.

Can you please help on this? Is there any formal procedure or some additional requirements needs to be fullfield?

We love the toolkit and its features, we wish to use it (and publically let everybody know about it) however we need to be sure that we are not going to have any legal limitations or issues arising with its use ...
