Changing the patient ID and patient name of the DICOM objects loaded to dcm4chee

Hello,
I have set up dcm4chee server in my computer. I don't have any modality to gain real data. So I downloaded DICOM data sets from this link
http://www.osirix-viewer.com/datasets/

this is how those data sets are formated

WRIX/WRIX/WRIST RIGHT/SCOUT 3-PLANE RT. - 2/IM-0001-0001.dcm
WRIX/WRIX/WRIST RIGHT/SCOUT AXIAL LG FOV RT. - 1/IM-0001-0001.dcm

etc.


And uploaded those data to dcm4chee using dcmsnd utility of dcm4che2.

WRIX is used as the patient name in dcm4chee

As it says in the documentation dcm4chee generate a patient ID if the study does not have a patient ID specified,

I want to change the patient name and patient ID of the uploading objects so that they will be stored under that patient name and ID in the dcm4chee server.

Tried several methods including changing the folder name, but nothing worked. Could somebody please help me!

Please refer to http://support.dcmtk.org/docs/dcmodify.html for instruction to change patient id.

You may change the Patient ID or merge the created Patient with the right existing one after storage using the Archive UI.
