Convert PDF to DICOM

Hello,

I'm trying convert PDF to DICOM using (jpg2dcm - Convert a JPEG image to DICOM);

But, when I opened in the Weasis the file converted, it not understand the type. The Weasis opened a thumb, but how a PDF file.

How can I convert a PDF to DICOM file? Is it the best way?

 You can use pdf2dcm tool in the same way you use jpg2dcm!!

Hey alle,

Yes, I did it (pdf2dcm). But the result is a PDF type file with metadata dicom and Weasis dosen't understand it.

This is an example of config you have to pass to pdf2dcm: in the tag 00420012 you have to set application/pdf (or also application/octet-stream works...).

Hey alle,

I did it with your parameters and when I opened the Weasis. The converted dicom file is not imagem, is a PDF file. I'd like to see the file like a dicom with image.

I'm wrong?

What you’re asking isn’t possible without some extra work. PDF is a valid DICOM file format and pdf2dcm will just encapsulate it with the DICOM header. There are utilities that let’s you “print” to  jpeg file. Use that and convert each page to jpeg before using jpg2dcm to achieve what you’re asking for.

Dear i am also using pdf2dcm. file is converting to dicom file but not opening in any dicom viewer please give me any suggestion.
