Totally new to DCM4CHE - Guidance for Getting Started

Hi,

I'm looking for tools that can  work in tandem with or replace commercial tools for a de-coupled IHE style reg/repo environment with a  VNA for imaging  and DICOM/IHE actors tools to query retrieve across the Ihe IHE actors for imaging and document query retrieve.  I'm not sure if that reads like a load of guff or not!!

I stumbled across dcm4che and I have to admit I've no idea where to start with this.  Its mahoosive!!  :)   Which is excellent, but also a little daunting.  

Is there a generous techie out there who has implemented dcm4che who is prepared to share their experiences?

Cheers to all in advance, including the inevitable flames pointing out where I have missed some very obvious intro pages  :)

  I would just start with the wiki and see if you get anywhere with that.  You didn't mention you had already looked at it yet.

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for that, have seen that page not had a chance to follow it yet.  Was hoping to get "I followed wiki and it was ...... Do this other stuff, we use it for ........" Bypassing some or any of the pain you have all likely experienced 😂
