Weasis.exe (3.70) download images faster from import DICOM Menu and but not with command line parameters or weasis: url

Thank you for this product. It has a lot of capabilities. We want to use it bu I need to solve a thing.

I think Weasis 3.70 has at least two different image loading algorithm / styles.

One is slow and the other is fast. In our tests with 400 / 600 MR images there is 60 seconds difference in loading time approximately. Fast one completing in ten seconds generally.

We don't know how to trigger to use the fast method while starting weasis (etc from command prompt) with patientID parameter.

What I meant by  the fast method is that:

We start Weasis 3.70 executable and choose "Import DICOM" then "DICOM Query/Retrieve" menu

Search for the patient and click "Import and Close" button.

It downloading images faster (MR etc) from weasis://.... url method and using a different style while loading. Its loading all images first with no thumbnails (with retreiving and loading word left bottom corner). When the loading finishes, all thumbnails appear suddenly.

But with the following commands, Weasis load the patient images with different style and so slower. At first thumbnails appair one by one and it loads each of it with a percent scale.

I am adding each of loading progress photos.

This is dicom settings of Weasis 3.70, it uses tihs configuration while loading fast.

This is fast loading style. (Before the finish of loading thumbnails)

This is the standart (or slow) mode of loading:

The thing I want to learn is that how can I trigger the first loading style because of its fast loading time.

With following parameters its loading slow mode:

weasis.exe  $dicom:get -w http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/weasis-pacs-connector/manifest?patientID=xxxxxxx

Same happening with the following:

jnlp://xx.xx.xx.xx:8080/weasis-pacs-connector/viewer?patientID=xxxxxxx

Please specify which Q/R method is used (C-Get, C-Move or WADO-URI).

I am not sure if it is the right way to present things that there would be a fast and a slow way. It's more that it depends on the context or configuration.

Most of the installations I know of on hundreds of PCs, it is the implementation with WADO (the one you consider slow) that is overall faster because there are simultaneous connections.

There can be several reasons for the HTTP traffic to be slow (server configuration, proxy, Internet security tools...).

Thank you for guiding us.

We saw that if Dicom server and client exists in same sub network (like 192.168.1.0 /255.255.255.0), images loading in 2 seconds in two methods. If we change the  subnet mask (for a bigger network like 192.168.0.0 / 255.255.248.0) loading time dramatically increases to a minute or more. It is a test server so there is no other workload on server.

Is there anybody encounter this situation. Or this is a known issue?
