I am able to query my Conquest server with the Weasis viewer.  I have the dcm4chee 3.0.1 installed and running.  We are able to copy studies from within Conquest to dcm4chee but we want our users to be able to query directly from within the dcm4chee portal. I assume this is possible?

I have set up an Aplication Entity to the Conquest server and am able to successfully "ECHO" the server...and I see the echo request coming in on the Conquest server.

When we perform a search for and study by patient, patient ID or study date we get no results.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Robby

Need some information:
Does dcm4chee 3.0.1 mean dcm4chee with dcm4che-web version 3.01. There is also the dcm4chee-web3 version 3.01 Weasis connector.

By default dm4chee will search for all studies that it has received - does this work?
If not you need to check the server.log for the Conquest send transactions.

I was thinkng that dcm4chee will "pull" the studies from the Conquest DICOM server.  The users user KPACS on the internal office network as their workstation viewer and we are setting up this web portal for them to view from home.

I was under the impression that I could configure the dcm4chee web portal to go query the Conquest server when a search is made.  The connectivity is there since I created a Source AET and I'm able to confirm a DICOM Echo.  Also, we're able to copy studies over from the Conquest server into dcm4chee.

We don't necessarily want to store them there, we just want to be able to query and then view them in the Weasis viewer....

.....am I making sense?  I'm still new to the DICOM world....

Thanks,

Robby

As far as I remember it is Conquest that can be configured to query and retrive from other servers. DCM4CHEE doen't have this functionality built in.
Why not replace Conquest with DCM4CHEE as it can handle everything you need (and then some e.g. also provides HL7 and XDS support for future integrations)?
p.s. If you don't mind MACs then OSIRIX will also meet your requirements - it also uses Weasis as its web viewer.

Can you help me to understand what the Source AET is for then from within the dmc4chee-web portal?

I know that the Weasis java client will query our Conquest server fine but was planning in using the web portal to query the studies and then launch Weasis from within the portal.

The Source AET filter allows for listing studies based upon which AE sent them to dcm4chee.

Interesting. Ok, so we have to figure out a way to get them into the web portal automatically

Hi Robb and Dias

Can you please explain why you are using dcm4chee when you can configure weasis with conquest PACS Server??

A small utility can be written that first query dcm4chee, if study found its okie. Otherwise query conquest and push study from conquest to dcm4chee.

If you can explain me your requirement then I would in a better position to comment.

Hello HM,

Its solution is also feasible, but I do not know how to run.

My senary is as follows: I have a server running the Conquest, and need access to the images of this conquest by the Web. In addition to this, I have another server with internet access, my idea was to install a dcm4chee with Weasis in this web server and access the other server with the images from this one.

Maybe this is not the best solution, but it was one that I thought.

Another option would be replace Conquest by dcm4chee, but access would remain being done by other web server.

In short, I have two servers, one connected to the Internet and the other connected to that first by the internal network, but without access to the Internet. I need to develop an application to make available on the Internet studies (images) that are on the internal server.

I don't know very well the functioning of dcm4chee and Weasis. For now I could develop an application that queries the dcm4chee database and builds links to access the images with Weasis, of the form: http://localhost:8080/weasis-pacs-connector/viewer?PatientName=patient for example. Not too sure if this is the correct way.

You would have a simpler solution to this? I am very new in this area, I'm starting, so I have great difficulties. Any help would be very welcome!

Thank you in advance,
Thiago Dias
