Differences of dcmche versions

Hello community

I am have been using Conquest for several years now and I thought why not try out out dcm4che! - but I get a little confused with the different versions and I don't now which one to pick.

• From what I understand v2 is outdated and the current version is "dcm4che 3 Toolkit & Library" but I can't find any documentation for the installation for v3 - I just can find those for v2 (https://dcm4che.atlassian.net/wiki/display/d2/) - is the old v2 documentation still working?
• Second thing I would like to know is what the difference between dcm4che 3 Toolkit & Library and DCM4CHEE Archive light 5.x is ?

Dcm4che 2 : version no update 2015 of DICOM
Dcm4che 3: new version that has been writing with standard DICOM 2015.

--> Dcm4che 2 or dcm4che 3 put of reading metadata and diplay images. Also put gestion send images dicom on server.
  - Toolkit are tool for example : dcm to xml, dcm to jpeg and so on.
--> dcm4chee put jee and data base.

For install dcm4che, put jar in your IDE.

I am looking to try out dcm4che too, and I have confusion with the same concept mentioned, quoted below:

Would any be able to shed some additional light? Is DCM4CHEE Archive light, designed for archiving DICOM objects?

On the homepage (http://www.dcm4che.org/) there is a table of Services. 

Is this describing the features of DCM4CHEE Archive light?

dcm4che1, dcm4che2 and dcm4che3 are basically 1st,2nd and 3rd generation open source Java implementations of the DICOM standard. Each release contains a library of components and a set of fully functional applications that show how the library is used to implement many of the DICOM functions - Store SCU, Q/R, MWL SCU etc.

dcm4chee-2.x  is a full featured enterprise "DICOM Clinical Data Manager system". This is a JEE and JMX system which is deployed within the JBoss Application Server to provide a number of clinical services. It may be used for a variety of different purposes, the most popular being:

1. a DICOM archive and image manager
2. a PACS, when coupled with a viewer such as OsiriX, K-PACS, ClearCanvas, Ginkgo CADx, etc.

DICOM Conformance Statement

dcm4chee-arc-light-5.x is the newest implementation of a "DICOM Clinical Data Manager system" that extends the functionality by providing support for the newer DICOM web services i.e. 

STOW,QIDO and WADO-RS. This also implements DICOM Part 15 Appendix H " Application Configuration Management Profiles" - configuration using LDAP.
