Weasis: How to make it access custom file-systems?

Hi,

The NIO2 API in Java 7 allows an application to make use of a custom file-system built using the FileSystemProvider API.

Is there any way in Weasis to load and store images residing on such a custom file-system? I'm open to making minimal changes to the codebase, but may not be able to make edits that are pervasive.

The current version still need to support Java 6, so this API cannot be incorporated at this stage or should be an import plugin compiled in Java 7.

The current implementation can load images from URIs.
