Are there any limitations on the speed loading of the images to Weasis viewer ? I did some tests and even accessing the server over an giga 10/100/1000 network, I can't increase the loading speed... the maximum speed that I reached was around 1Mb/s...  is it common ?

I don't think the limitation comes from Weasis. In our hospital Weasis can be accessed from 7000 PCs mainly into 100 Mb/s network and the mean performance of downloading images is around 40 Mb/s (5 MByte/s). The images are stored in jpeg2000 in a commercial PACS but we use also dcm4chee. The jpeg2000 downloading rate is from 20 img/s to 60 img/s for a CT exam (512x512).

So... do you can suggest some adjusts that i can do to improve performance ? Do you Know if WADO protocol have some speed limit instead of direct C-MOVE ?

I'm confused, Weasis works with WADO protocol ?  My database has 3 months of production, with only 100Mb, and the image repository has only 200Gb of information... certainly something is wrong...

i'm using DCM4CHEE 2.17 running on debian x64, with WEASIS 1.2.5..

Thanks

Yes, Weasis works with WADO which is http standard protocol. So, it should not have any limitation (same as downloading files from a web server).

The DB access time could be a problem as the WADO server returns DICOM files after the patient and the exam fields reconciliation with the database (ex. when changing patient name).

Thanks a lot, I will do some hardware improvements (ssd disks for database) and test it again...

Here i have an DCM4CHEE server that is accessed by a doctor in another city through web.

Even with my web-link speed limitation, he simply loved Weasis, because opens directly from web, cross-plataform, light and fast.

There is an project page or something like that ? i could make suggestions, collaborate, donate. Do you have any intention to make a Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) function ?

Its really great receive orientations directly from the developer !

Thanks again,

You can post comments here or send me an email. An orthogonal MPR has been developed for the version 2.0 (a beta version will be available soon).
