Been fighting with this all day. Using the woefully outdated (poorly written) instructions on Confluence....(Pardon me but I am just a little frustrated.)

I am having an issue with my recent install. Everything seems to be setup right, I hit run.bat and it does nothing. The batch file does not execute. The web JMX console page seems to  be working, but it may be a false positive. I receive 404 errors on the 'dcm4chee-web' page. I remember in the past the command prompt window would display a running scrip when the server was up and running. I am not sure if this is the case with this version. So, any assistance would be awesome.

Has anyone experienced this? What was your solution if any?

What do server.log and boot.log say?
Check https://dcm4che.atlassian.net/wiki/display/ee2/Installation
For 2.18.1, it's working perfect.

I had to downgrade to 2.18.1 to get anywhere. 2.18.3 seems to be missing files. (i.e. install_jboss, install_arr....)

I got the jmx-console to run but the front end of the DCM won't launch I keep getting this nonsense:

HTTP Status 404 - /dcm4chee-web3/

type Status report

message /dcm4chee-web3/

description The requested resource (/dcm4chee-web3/) is not available.

JBossWeb/2.0.1.GA

I was using those directions they are very disjointed and poorly written. Surprising that someone hasn't just written a installer for the entire thing. As you can tell, I am very annoyed after spending an entire day on this and getting no where. Oh the "joys" of open source! Please excuse my venting....

Finally got everything to work using version 2.1.80. I can't even tell you what I did differently...I am glad it's working tho. Ralf thanks for attempting to assist.
