Problem with GE ultrasound image

Hi All,

I have a problem with GE ultrasound image, the modality (VIVID-7) send image to dcm4chee (dcm4chee-2.17.0, on Centos 5.7 64 bit), the image is sent in a raw dicom format but on dcm4chee it result not a raw image. Image is sent using JPEG Baseline transfer syntax.

The more noticeable difference between two dicom files are the indications of sequences length.

For example:

file send
...
<attr tag="00082112" vr="SQ" len="92">
<item off="780" len="84">
...

file archive
...
<attr tag="00082112" vr="SQ" len="-1">
<item off="736" len="-1">
...

Why dcm4chee fails to interpret the sequences length? Is this a reason of problem?
