I recommend not upgrading to JRE 1.7.0_40 or JRE 1.7.0_45 because a stupid warning popup appear. This popup has no effect even if you click on cancel, weasis starts anyway.

The problem has been identified. It is related to the Apache Felix framework and I'm working to provide a patch. As soon the fix will be validated I will make a new release. This new release will also contain some new attributes required by Java Web Start (see this page).

The future release 1.7.0_51 (Janurary 2014) will have new security requirements. For those signing Weasis with their own certificate, it requires a trust-worthy certificate from a certificate authority unless to change the default security level to Low in the Java Control Panel.

Weasis 1.2.7 is available for download. It contains a fix for the issue of Apache Felix framework and it has been updated for the new Java Web Start security requirements.

For those that still using the old dcm4chee-web interface, the binaries and the code source have been updated to support the Java security restrictions from JRE 1.7.0_40. See the installation page (For dcm4chee-web (classic - before 2.17.1)).
