Installation process

Hi guys,

I'm completed a DCM4CHE 5.23.0 installation using the following.

Debian 9.13

DCM4CHE 5.23.0

MariaDB 10.1.48

I've followed the instructions here.  https://github.com/dcm4che/dcm4chee-arc-light/wiki/Installation

Once I've completed my installation there is no instruction on how to validate or test the installation, run the service, or access the web interface?   Am I missing something here.  There seems to be limited information on Web and YouTube on getting started.  Can someone please point me in the right direction?

The older version came with a docs folder in the installation which had a text file explaining all this which doesn't appear in the 5.23.0 version and is diferent.

Thanks for the instructions. How can I install Oviyam 2.8 with the DCM4CHE arc 5 ? 

I have used dcm4che2.x where I just paste the oviyam2.war file to a dcm4chee file path..

In dcm4che arc 5 how to use oviyam ?

Please advice me with some resource URL?

You can install Oviyam 2.8 in tomcat and configure dcm4chee-arc 5 server as a DICOM server. Please refer to the release notes text file included in Oviyam-2.8-bin.zip for installing it in Tomcat. Once installed, follow the WADO URL syntax given in settings page while adding dcm4chee arc 5 server AE details.

Dear Prakash

Thanks a lot for the matter and time. I followed the steps from 1 to 5 as mentioned at the https://dcm4che.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OV/pages/3375111/Oviyam+Installation very correctly. 

I used tomcat since I used the docker method. And changed the tomcat port into 8081 since Dcm4Chee is using the port 8080.

Changed the "tomcat-user.xml" as follows;

Then restarted the tomcat.

But I cannot login to the Oviyam2 using the default credentials and it is displaying login error.

Could you please assist me what to do?

Please share the tomcat server  log file located in (opt/tomcat/apache-tomcat/logs/catalina.out) to check the error.

You have to include the following dcm4che DICOM libraries in the tomcat lib folder.

For Tomcat Server:

1. Copy all jar files from "tomcat" folder into Tomcat "Lib" folder.
2. Uncomment the user roles,user names in "conf/tomcat-users.xml" file.
3. Add new user role, user name for "admin".
4. Deploy Oviyam2.war into Tomcat "webapps" folder.

Please make sure that you have followed step 1.

Hi,

I have installed Dcm4che Arc docker version.
Separately installed Tomcat 8.5 and made its default port into 8081.

Then downloaded the Oviyam 2.8 and adhered to the all instructions;
1. Copy all jar files at the tomcat folder into "lib" folder
2. Copy oviyam2.war in to "webapps" folder
3. restart the tomcat

Added Dcm4Chee arc AE Tittle to the Oviyam

Then, I got a response like this. BUT IMAGES ARE NOT DISPLAYING...

Could you please assist me with this?
