Remote access to http://localhost:8080/dcm4chee-web3/

Hi,

I have the following settings:
- dcm4chee-2.18.1-mysql
- JDK 7
- MySQL Server 32 bits : Server only/ Config Type : Server Machine / TCP/IP, Port: 3306
- JBoss Application Server 4.2.3.GA
- Mozilla Firefox
- Windows 7


When I start DCM4CHEE from the windows console executing the "run.bat" file: I CAN access the webpages "http://localhost:8080/dcm4chee-web3/" and "http://localhost:8080/jmx-console/" from the local machine or any other machine on the network (by replacing the localhost by its IP address)

When I set up DCM4CHEE as a windows service using the "install_service.bat" file: I CAN access the webpages "http://localhost:8080/dcm4chee-web3/" and "http://localhost:8080/jmx-console/" from the local machine, BUT I CANNOT access them from other machines on the network (I replace the localhost by the correct IP adsress).

Log files for both cases are enclosed.

Indeed, I turned off the firewall and it did work.

do have an idea what would be the rules to be implemented?

We normally set a rule for the ports.

But you could also make it work with rules based on the executable.

I added a rule for the executable: \dcm4chee-2.18.1-mysql\bin\JavaService.exe and it did work well.
